We launched Autonomy News in June 2025 with a powerful vision: Well-sourced, critical reporting that doesn’t exploit workers behind the scenes. A publication built on the awareness that bodily autonomy isn’t a niche issue, but a defining one in all our lives. Worker-owned journalism that holds all power to account, even when it’s inconvenient.

Twenty percent of our members support us with optional paid subscriptions, which tells us that readers believe in our vision, too. However, while our work will always be free for all to read, it's not free to produce. And though paid subscriptions are essential to our business model, more substantial support from donors ensures the sustainability of our work and allows us to pay ourselves a living wage.
